Hi everyone.
My name is Niekie, I am from Birchleigh, Kempton Park.
I am the mother of Nikita van der Merwe, age 16.
After hard work and determination, Nikita along with some of her teammates, was chosen during a hockey tournament in March 2022, to be part of a hockey team that will be traveling to the Netherlands in October this year.
As this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, I want to create this fundraiser to ask for any donations or sponsors to help Nikita make her dream of going overseas a reality.
It will also give her the chance to visit the best hockey country in the world and to experience new things. Due to the Rand-Euro exchange rate, costs are, as you can imagine, very high and we can really use your support.
The amount of R50 000 will be used towards the following:
- Return flights and taxes involved
- Accommodation
- Meals
- Excursions
- Coaching sessions and games
- Hockey kit
- 3 different cities will be visited during this tour
As the proud mother of a talented athlete, I sincerely want to thank you for taking time and reading this. As parents, we always try to give our kids everything they deserve, especially when they work so hard to achieve something that is so important to them as a player…
