For the past 5 years, I’ve been trying my hardest to scrape together the funds to start a small bakery and confectionery store that my family and I can run. Something that we can be proud of and able to keep in the family.
As I am the only one that was employed as an Uber delivery driver and generating an income, this was difficult as most of if not all my income went towards covering essentials, leaving very little I was able to save up.
I was also unable to apply for a loan as I was unable to make enough to be able to pay the monthly installments. Then the pandemic hit, and everything was turned upside down, leaving me to use up what little savings I had to try and take care of my family.
After the restrictions were relaxed a bit, I was able to return to work but with no savings left and barely being able to make enough to cover even the basic of bills, my dream of owning the bakery and confectionery store all but disappeared.
Then a month ago things went from bad to worse when I got into a motor accident, damaging my car and leaving me unable to work as a delivery driver. Employment being extremely scarce and almost impossible to get without a university degree, I am left hopeless and desperate for any means to take care of my family.
I have to believe that there are still some good people in the world and donations would be appreciated whether it’s enough to fix my car and get me back to work or donations for my dream of a little family business.
