LITHEMBA CHILDREN AND YOUTH CARE
When children finish school at 15h00 we start an afterschool program until 17h00 daily where all
community children can register from ages of 5 to 18 years.
We take children away from streets to eliminate growing drug and alcohol abuse problem while introducing them to community role models and give them alternative skills for future careers.
If this is done continuously, we will see children from disadvantaged backgrounds finish school, changing their lives and becoming roles models to their own communities. By this we hope that crime will go down as we will see less and less children who are abusing drugs and dropping out of school.
