Quitting is not an option; we will prevail with your help and generosity! These are the words of Pastor Claire Webster, “2020/2021 was rough for everybody, a lot of people are hurting, lives were lost, and many people lost their income, and this has impacted the community works of Shechinah Glory Intercession House.”
Prior to the world shutting down Pastor Claire Webster has been contributing and serving the community for the past 22 years. One of the projects they served was The Tafta community Old Age Home whereby Shechinah provided the residents with a light meal once a week. With the easing of lockdown rules, the ministry is in dire need of funds to restart the Old Age program once again.
Another initiative under Shechinah is The Community Flea Market this was started to help restore the livelihoods of people. Pastor Claire is desperately in need of financial assistance to help restore their dignity and uplift a community.
In this period of tough economic times, Pastor Claire dipped into her own personal resources to assist and partnered with NGO’s in providing food parcels to the community and to keep the flea market running, she did this until all her resources were depleted and as a result impacted on her livelihood. She and her daughter are faced with an eviction notice and currently have no electricity and running water.
We appeal to you, to find it in your heart to help Pastor Claire to pay her rent, electricity, and water and to revive, restore, restart the programs and to serve her community of Wentworth, which desperately needs hope for the future.
