Last year Alison was brave enough to come forward and say something. She went through the grueling process of giving a statement and reliving the sexual molestation committed against her by a family member. We followed the procedure and took the advice of the social workers and moved back to my home town for the children’s safety. Believing that justice would be served, and we could heal and rebuild our family. 14 months later and the pedophile has not faced any consequences. The child has been ripped away from her home, her mother, her little brother and her puppy. The welfare took her away based on the words of the person who molested her. They have put her in a youth center whilst the court has taken over 14 months to make a final ruling. I can’t understand how they are not concerned that a pedophile is walking free and have punished the victim by locking her away instead of the person who committed sexual violence against her. She wants to come home. The youth center is not taking care of her, and she is exposed to all manner of negative things that she should never have to be exposed to. The court has dragged this on for over a year now. I need help. This has drained me financially, emotionally, and physically. I can see her suffering and I am not allowed to do anything about it. I am rarely even allowed to see her. The only wrong I did was take her to report the crime. The only wrong she did was speak out against the crime. I am surprised that the lawyer has not been able to end it as there is no evidence. On the contrary the allegations are easily disproven. I have trial in a week’s time and the lawyer wants all outstanding monies and his fees for the trial date paid upfront. As I have yet to see any justice in over a year I am in doubt as to whether the court will finalize or rule fairly. I will have to take it higher. I have tried everything and approached every avenue that I can think of. My child does not deserve this treatment after she has gone through the initial trauma. She needs to come home, and they need to put the child molester in court instead of a concerned mother and a hurt little girl. Please pray for us and the other children in the youth center. It is not a good place for any child to be in. They are all suffering.
