My name is Anetta Coetzee. My husband is Awie Coetzee. We live in Polokwane and have 2 children. My husband is in dire need of an emergency operation, and we currently do not belong to a medical aid, as we simply cannot afford it. I am the only breadwinner. On 13 July 2022, we were at the Doctors, and they wanted to admit him to hospital immediately, but due to financial constraints, we cannot afford the costs – as the quotation we had obtained, amounted to R350 000. This includes the operation and time to be spent in ICU. Awie’s condition is life threatening as there is a bacterial infection that is eating away on his lung. Already a hole has been created by the infection…and this also resulted in the lung collapsing. His oesophagus is also affected, and this proves to be detrimental to his eating and drinking…as he simply cannot get anything down. We humbly plea to the community to please help us so we can get Awie into the hospital for the much-needed medical interventions. Thank you to all who can help.
