EDUCATION FIGHTS POVERTY – GOAL R50 000
We have identified learners as young as 7 years old who are not attending a school. The reasons are many and include:
1.Unable to pay for transport costs to neighbouring schools that are far distanced
2. Fear of xenophobia attacks as the learners are from countries outside South Africa
3. Gender based violence, Many girls are being attacked on the way to schools. These are a few of the issues we are currently facing. We would like to bring an educational Centre in the community in order for learning and teaching to continue. Currently kids are walking around and with no goal or ambitious they are forced into gangs and drugs. We are hoping to educate and skill these children and make it accessible for them to learn in their environment. Our objective is to educate youngsters ultimately becoming responsible citizens who can positively add to the country.
