HELPING FLOODING VICTIMS – GOAL $ 2 000
In Ethiopia, over 500,000 people have been affected by flooding from several rivers, including the Blue Nile and Awash rivers.
As of May 5, 2005, 154 people have been reported dead in the wake of severe flooding along the Wabe Shebele in South Eastern Ethiopia. The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs reports that at least 100,000 people have been affected by the flooding. The Afar Regional State, where the overflowing Awash River has displaced more than 200,000 people and caused sizable property damage.
So, I am calling for help for these who have lost their homes and farms. They need food, shelter and hygienic products.
