MASON’S TRANSGENDER FUNDRAISER – GOAL R 80 000
My name is Mason, I’m transgender (female to male) and I’m 16. The money I raise from this fund will go towards medical treatment for my transition (gender affirming surgeries.)
Living as a transgender person is extremely difficult and I just want to look in the mirror and see my own reflection in it. Medical aid companies in South African (where I live) believe that transgender medical treatment is cosmetic and they refuse to pay for any of it and I therefore am hoping to earn the money to pay for gender affirming surgeries out of pocket.
This will significantly alleviate my immense dysphoria and also make my mental health situation more bare able.
