”See Lampedusa or perish” is the title of the English version of my next novel.
This novel talks about illegal immigration and its painful experiences. Being a survivor of this dangerous route which start from the Niger desert to Libya and across the Mediterranean Sea, I think I am the right person to write about this journey of death.
According to the IOM, the international organization for migrations, 99% of people who embark each year on this perilous adventure are young people under thirty. Among them are school dropouts, qualified workers, university students, and even professionals. Which means that Africa is being emptied of its able-bodied arms and thinking heads.
The objective of this novel is to attack the phenomenon of illegal immigration at its source which mean introducing it into the curriculum of junior and high schools.
The novel ”see Lampedusa or perish” will be both a tool for education and awareness for all those who still show the desire to embark on this dangerous adventure.
The French version is with the editor in Paris (FRANCE) where it is following the difference stages before its publication mi-January 2020. Knowing that the English community is the largest in the world, I thought it better to publish the two versions, English and French simultaneously.
