This is for all the animal lovers out there. Meet Charles, he is a rescue cat from cat care and was last year diagnosed with diabetes. He is 7 years old so still a very young handsome boy. When we found out he was diabetic we were very optimistic that once we started the insulin his diabetes would come under control. He started off on 0.5ml of Lantus, which we were told the doses would be enough to get diabetes under control. Boy were we wrong, 6 months down the line he is on 14 units twice a day, and he also needs special food.
His insulin doses need to go up more because his numbers are still very high. I am appealing to you to open your hearts to help this boy. I feel I am failing him as I cannot afford his insulin and special food. I know lots of people would say it’s just a cat, but he is not, he is our super special boy and is loved very much. Please help me to not let this special boy down, because when I adopted him I told him I will take the best care of him for the rest of his life.
