Hi everyone, thanks so much for taking the time to read my story. I’m a single mother, divorced in 2019. My daughter is 12 at the moment and the fun loving vibrant girl you see here.
After my divorce, my ex husband got involved with a woman, who, for lack of better wording is a complete narcissist. She has over time, taken complete control of my ex husband’s Financials and life in general. She has physically endangered and mentally abused my child over the course of the last couple of years, exposing her to sexually explicit detail about her father as well as manipulating her to believe that a normal healthy relationship with her father is wrong.
This happened over the course of 2021 up till date hereof. She refuses to pay maintenance, despite the court order as well as an ongoing court battle.
My daughter hardly ever sees her dad anymore, this month marks six months since the last visit. I am however working on a protection order against this woman. I am doing this fund raiser to try and get Elaine all the educational tools she needs, since I am unemployed at the moment and the bakery that I started from home is not yet at a point where I can even support us.
We are currently living with my sister, since October 2022. School starts tomorrow and we don’t have anything related. I lost my job during covid and since then we have been financially going down hill. I’ve sold everything I own to keep us alive, from pots and pans to my car. I have tried everything I can think of but to no avail. I am actively job hunting, seven applications since the 9th of January, but nothing as yet.
I don’t know where to turn anymore. I do realize that there are thousands of mothers in the exact same position as myself. I am pleading on behalf of my child, who has done nothing in this life to deserve this struggle, please help me make her education for this year, at least a happy place to be.
