Tristan is my 12-year-old grandson.
Last year, on the 9th of April, he was involved in a serious car accident in which his sister and a close friend were killed, and he and his mother were both seriously injured.
These deaths came close on the heels of four other deaths of close family members, his great granddad, his granddad, his uncle, and aunt.
He has had to have two operations on his arm, which has thankfully healed.
It is his mental state that is the issue at hand.
I believe that he is suffering from survivors guilt, his behavior has changed so much he is almost unrecognizable, his schoolwork has deteriorated to a point where he has failed this term.
He was always a very happy, considerate and well-mannered child, with a healthy lust for life.
It has come to our attention that he, in his words” I’m sick of living without her and I don’t know how much longer I can last without her”.
We are raising funds to be able to afford a grief counselor as neither of his parents are in the financial position to afford these services.
I appeal to you to please help me to get him the treatment he needs.
