To Whom It May Concern, I am contacting you as a desperate single mother who is trying to leave the country to secure a better future for myself and my son. I am sure you have heard of the land exploitation without compensation happening in South Africa, along with all the crimes against white people. Well, I am unfortunately one of the people staying in Centurion right in the middle of it. Long story short, we stay with friends on a plot and the property was broken into not so long ago, it was horrific, but thanks to an act of God my son and I spent the weekend away when they broke in.
It came to my realization that my only option is to emigrate. I do not have the finances for this, so I have chosen to swallow my pride for the sake of mine and my son’s future and reach out to people who might be able to help. I am hoping, in this case, the GofundmeSa platform will help me. I have done extensive research on immigrating to Ireland, along with cost of living etc. I have been applying for work and have received good feedback, however, with the borders being opened, Ireland has reached a hickup in terms of work for South Africans, due to all the paperwork involved (the employers are just not willing to take on all the paperwork), this is where I will require the funds, as I will need to get an agent to help me with all the work permit paperwork etc. and the remaining funds will go towards flights and a small start-up in Ireland.
I have already received a lot of positive feedback from work and housing opportunities in Ireland. I currently work multiple jobs just to make ends meet, however, I am barely keeping head above water, and will not be able to afford this move on my own. I do not expect anything, but rather express my gratitude for every bit given, no matter how small the amount! I am looking at leaving the 31st of May, as I have an opportunity to secure a good position in Ireland by the 4th of June.
