JAYDIN’S FIGHT 4 SIGHT

​At just 16 months old, most little boys are busy discovering the world. For our lively, spirited Jaydin Le Roux, that world changed in an instant on April 10th, 2026, when he was diagnosed with Retinoblastoma (a rare eye cancer).

​The Journey So Far
​Jaydin has been an absolute trooper. In a matter of weeks, his tiny body has endured more than most do in a lifetime—bone marrow biopsies, constant blood tests, and MRI scans.

​We have seen glimpses of hope and miracles: a recent laser treatment on the tumor behind his right eye showed positive results, and we are profoundly grateful to share that his blood, marrow, and MRI scans are currently clear of any spread. We thank God for this protection every single day.

​The Road Ahead
​However, the fight is far from over. Because the tumor is still too large to be removed through traditional methods, Jaydin began a cycle of very aggressive chemotherapy on April 23rd to shrink it. He now has a port in his chest to help him receive the medicine he needs to get better.

​Why We Need Your Help
​While Jaydin fights the physical battle, his parents are fighting an uphill financial one. In a difficult turn of events, Jaydin’s father—who spent 5 years working in international maritime security, health and safety—found his contract unrenewed due to the war,  just two months before this diagnosis. While he is actively seeking work, the family is currently without a steady income at the exact moment their expenses have skyrocketed.
​The family must travel weekly to Durban for Jaydin’s specialized treatment at Parklands Hospital.
