PILLARS OF STRENGTH
Assalam Alaikum,
By the grace of Allah, Pillars of Strength a non-profit organisation that started from an experience the change Hajj & Umrah had on my life when I was young, and how it shaped me into who I am today.
While working with many organisations who work with less fortunate people over the last few years, it was evident that due to their circumstances the chances of being able to visit the 2 harams (Makkah and Madina), never mind the 3rd (Aqsa), would be nearly impossible. This became even more unreachable after Covid 19 as many families were unable to see to basic needs during and after the epidemic.
Thus I wanted to be able to make this a reality for these youth and adults, as well as allow them to experience the Seerah in “physical form” and not just from a book.
We hope that through this experience a change will be born within the youth to rise above their circumstances, draw them closer to Allah (SWT) and Nabi Muhammad (SAW), and change their lives and those around them in a positive way so that they may have a positive impact.
We have 20 youth and 7 adults that will be joining this experience of a lifetime.
The trip will commence in Egypt, the land of Nabi Musa and where Amr ibn al-As changed the fate of the Muslims today, thereafter we will head to Palestine, and stay within the Al Aqsa complex. From there we travel to Jordan where we will visit many sahabah. Finally, we will make our way to Makkah for the Umrah, and finish in Madina to greet our beloved Rasul SAW.
