Vincent is a full-time student at University of Pretoria (1st year in Computer Science). He has applied for a Financial Aid with NSFAS as his mother is a single woman earning too little and there is no other family to assist. All went well until they said that he is not South African as he is not a permanent resident.
He did apply for his citizenship 3 years ago and the process is extremely slow in South Africa. He came to South Africa at the age of 17 months. He went with his mom at the Bank to complete the Student loan form (university fees, accommodation, food, books) but this too was rejected.
He was a top 5 student at his High school. Currently, he is helping other students with their work in accounting, math and also in programming.
He really enjoys his studies at UP and hopes that with your help and support he can keep studying there.
