I am a single Mom juggling two jobs, raising business on the side and studying full time. My finances don’t allow me to take a break, and with all the efforts, I still can’t afford to move, sign my daughter up for extracurricular activities at school, get a new fridge, need a microwave, service the car, do our hair, fix my teeth, to name a few. I need help with the basics, I want to get home and be proud of what I’ve got.
I want to be able to invite friends and family over for dinner dates without feeling small when they enter my home. I want to smile without feeling self-conscious. I want to take a weekend off without worrying about finances. I know I seem vain for setting this up because there are so many people out there that need the help more than I do and if someone had to choose between funding me or another person in need, I’d rather they fund the latter. If someone does intend to donate towards my campaign, please know that I’ll be doing the same act of kindness as soon as I’m financially stable.
