My husband first got an allergy to simple things as plastic bags, or wood or rubber. He would get this rash and it will be swollen and burn like crazy. We went to doctors and they cannot help. Drinking allergy pills seem to relieve it. Over time it got worse and the pain started flaring up everywhere. Last year, 2017, we spent new year in the hospital. He was in so much pain he could barely walk or stand up. This is the first time I saw my husband crying like a baby from the pain. If you cannot afford any private hospitals or medical aid (way too expensive) the state (government) hospital it will be. You wait to see the nurse first and then she decides if it is necessary for you to see the doctor. So there we were, fortunately, she allowed us to see the doctor.

We went to the ER room and waited. The nurses phoned the doctor and he said that my husband should get injections for the pain. Luckily it helped for the pain. After we saw the doctor 5 hours later, he booked my husband in and did some blood tests and a sonar, and still, he could not say what was wrong with my husband. After seeing 2 specialists, we went to see a private (money borrowed) specialist. He told us that he was 90% sure that it was an Autoimmune Disease. At least we had something to work with, but it is only 90% sure. The 10% still needs to be confirmed by an Internist.

Now, this is where WE need help with funding, please. The funding would be used to go and see this specialist. Any funding will be highly appreciated.

Below is all the information I could get on Autoimmune Diseases:

An autoimmune disease is a condition in which your immune system mistakenly attacks your body.
The immune system normally guards against germs like bacteria and viruses. When it senses these foreign invaders, it sends out an army of fighter cells to attack them. Normally, the immune system can tell the difference between foreign cells and your own cells.

In an autoimmune disease, the immune system mistakes part of your body — like your joints or skin — as foreign. It releases proteins called autoantibodies that attack healthy cells. Some autoimmune diseases target only one organ. Type 1 diabetes damages the pancreas. Other diseases, like lupus, affect the whole body. Doctors don’t know what causes the immune system misfire.

There are more than 80 different autoimmune diseases. No single test can diagnose most autoimmune diseases. Your doctor will use a combination of tests and an assessment of your symptoms to diagnose you. The antinuclear antibody test (ANA) is often the first test that doctors use when symptoms suggest an autoimmune disease. A positive test means you likely have one of these diseases, but it won’t confirm exactly which one you have.
Other tests look for specific auto antibodies produced in certain autoimmune diseases. Your doctor might also do tests to check for the in Treatments can’t cure autoimmune diseases, but they can control the overactive immune response and bring down inflammation these diseases produce in the body.
