Living in South Africa, there’s a bigger pandemic than Covid-19 – it’s femicide. With the continuous nonstop rape reports, murders and kidnappings, I’m doing my bit to try and make our country a bit safer.
We shouldn’t have to fight for our rights in our country as woman. We shouldn’t have to live in fear. I was inspired by a story of many as well as my own and I’m aiming to create my own business where I would make safety packages which include tasers, pocketknives, pepper spray etc.
It won’t end the femicide but certainly will help benefit our woman’s safety. If I can do my bit instead of staying silent that’s better than nothing. The fact that we have to fight for basic human rights in this country is beyond me.
I’m hoping this project gets the recognition it needs and the funds it needs so I can step up and forward and do my bit in assisting where possible. My aim is to have our goodies such as the tasers and pepper spray disguised as lipstick and lighters. I hope this gets big enough especially so it will benefit anyone in an unpredictable situation that could possibly help them.
Please be sure to share if you cannot donate. I have so much passion in trying and attempting to change the world around us, it may seem impossible but trying is doable. I have so much belief in this idea I just need hands to make this possible. To start a journey and to assist others in theirs. To ensure a safe journey. To protect our own.
