I am a Science and Biology teacher. I started doing my PhD full time in 2015. I was on a National Research Foundation grant and I received my last payment in August 2017. To supplement my income I have taught pre-service teachers.

In October I began writing up my PhD and will be submitting it on 15 February 2018. Due to putting all my time into finishing it, I could not do part-time jobs anymore and my grant money ran out in November 2017.

I am asking for support to help cover costs in this last stage. The University I attend used to provide support, but they have ended the kind support in 2016. My research is on how teachers can develop their knowledge and improve the teaching of a chemistry topic by collaborating in a professional learning community.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
